از زمانی که حزبالله پس از عملیات توفان اقصی با یک روز فاصله در هشتم اکتبر ۲۰۲۳ اقدام به گشودن جبهه جدیدی علیه رژیم اسرائیل کرد، هدف را کاهش فشار علیه غزه و توقف جنگ اعلام کرد. حزبالله با بر هم زدن تمرکز اسرائیل علیه باریکه غزه در چارچوب اقدامات هماهنگ جبهه مقاومت عراق و یمن، تنش را در چارچوب قواعد یک نبرد با شدت کم و محدود و به صورت اقدامات تدریجی به پیش راند.
