Abstract
The purpose of this article is to explain the strategy of the United States of America against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant known as ISIS. In this regard, the author seeks to answer two interconnected questions by using the descriptive-analytical method and the constructive chaos theory. First, what are the reasons for America's alignment with ISIS? And second, which factors have changed the strategy of the United States of America toward ISIS? The article hypothesizes that the purposes of the US are to align with ISIS to weaken and restrain the power of Iran and its regional allies and create chaos in the countries of the resistance coalition to serve the interests of Israel. Additionally, factors such as the fear of endangering the US economic interests in Iraq, threats to America's regional interests, and deception of public opinion have changed its approach to ISIS.
