Since the beginning of 2011, the Middle East and North Africa has witnessed fundamental developments and serious changes. Among these new developments in the Middle East and North Africa, Egypt has experienced the most fluctuations in the past three years. In the latest developments, Mohamed Morsi, the first elected president in Egypt's history, was removed from power by an army coup. The overthrow of Mohamed Morsi, which took place during a democratic process, regardless of the internal consequences, will leave important consequences on the regional level on national interests and the strategic position of Middle East actors. In this regard, one of the basic questions of the article is, what were the reasons behind the overthrow of Muhammad Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood government? Another main question of the article is what consequences did the Egyptian coup and the overthrow of the Muslim Brotherhood government have for regional players?
