Abstract
The Middle East has gained significant importance in the history of international politics due to its complex and prolonged crises. Factors such as ethnic and religious tensions, competition among regional and global powers, and abundant natural resources have all contributed to the instability of the region. This study aims to examine the relationship between political stability and strategic rent in the Middle East, with an emphasis on the role of the Israeli regime. The present research is qualitative, with data gathered through document analysis and information analyzed descriptively and analytically. The findings indicate that in the Middle East, the Israeli regime, leveraging extensive military and economic support from the West, has established a strategic rent that aids its response to regional threats and enhances its influence. Given the region’s fragile political and security conditions, this support has enabled Israel to adopt aggressive policies, expand its influence, and increase challenges for neighboring countries. On the other hand, strategic rents derived from oil resources in Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran have been crucial in strengthening their internal stability while also intensifying regional competition and security tensions. Therefore, it can be concluded that strategic rent serves as an effective tool for managing relative internal stability and countering external threats in the Middle East, but it has simultaneously contributed to the reinforcement of competitive and aggressive approaches.
